The second of the game of the 2003 Cricket World Cup was between Zimbabwe and Namibia at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe meaning they became the 10th country to host a World Cup fixture. Namibia won the toss and elected to field and were ruing that when Zimbabwe and in particular, Craig Wishart got off to a flyer. Both Wishart and Mark Vermeulen both batted well and solidly as they got Zimbabwe up to 100 runs without losing a wicket. Vermeulen went but Andy Flower came in and hit a quick-fire 39 taking the attack to the part-timers. He was dismissed by opening batsman Jan-Berrie Burger but then Wishart was joined by the second Flower brother, Grant Flower. They put on an unbeaten 3rd wicket partnership of 166 with Wishart completing his century during this partnership. He went on to record the highest score by a Zimbabwean in a One Day International of 172 not out; whilst Grant Flower went on to record a quick unbeaten 78 at a rate much better than a run a ball.
